Multifunctions / Printers

For preventing double-feeds and controlling tension in sheet feeding devices.

Hysteresis Torque Limiter

These hysteresis torque limiters prevent double feeding and image-blurring by the sheet feeding devices of copy machines and printers, and control tension in banknote verification systems. We also offer rubber-coated type for copy machines and printers.

Hysteresis Torque Limiter
  • The Magnetic System Maintains Semipermanent Torque Stability.

As the operation of copy machines and printers becomes increasingly fast, torque limiters must provide greater stability and durability. A double-feed prevention mechanism ensures stable torque transmission regardless of the environmental conditions (heat and humidity) and speed of revolution, and provide the reliability needed to maintain this stability over the long term. These products also provide high torque response and uniform, stable torque transmission to prevent image-blurring by copy machines and printers, and a stable transport mechanism for banknote processing systems. Backed by high-quality materials and unique know-how, Yamauchi offers high-quality hysteresis (magnetic) torque limiters that meet these needs.

CHARACTERISTICS

Compactness Achieved by Using Powerful Neodymium Magnets.

Yamauchi uses a magnetic (noncontact) hysteresis system that places no burden on the torque generating mechanism and offers superior response compared to the conventional friction system. A powerful neodymium magnet is also used. Compared with torque limiters that use weak ferrite magnets, this powerful magnet enables considerable downsizing.

TECHNOLOGY

Reliability Test Data

The graph on the right shows the results of a durability test for when the torque limiter was used consecutively for a long period of time. As you can see, there is practically no change in torque even after being used for approximately 1,000 hours.

Environmental Test Data

The graph on the right shows the results of the change in torque based on changes in temperature. As you can see, there is practically no performance degradation even under severe changes in temperature ranging from -20°C to 80°C.
